Air force bases for drones are sprinkled around the U.S. but the largest is Creech AFB, near Las Vegas, a key center for drone control, and for training of drone operators. Opponents of targeted killing by the U.S. in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia have gathered at Creech this week to demand its end.

The evening of October 30, at the 92nd Street & in Manhattan — which has a reputation for being a center of culture and freedom of expression — Ray McGovern (the outspoken anti-war activist and former CIA analyst) was confronted by name and denied entry to an event where General David Petraeus was speaking. Very quickly after being blocked by 92nd Street Y security, Ray was injured by the NYPD, arrested, held overnight in Central Booking (formerly known as The Tombs), and charged with "criminal trespass" in the third degree, and "resisting arrest."

Below is a report on the arrests earlier today in Ferguson. At this writing, Carl Dix and Cornel West have been released from the county lockup. They are waiting for more people to be released, including steering committee members of the Month of Resistance to be released.
Protests at Port of Oakland Against Siege of Gaza Block Ship from Unloading

On Saturday August 16, several thousand protesters marched into the Port of Oakland toward the berth where a weekly Israeli cargo ship docks to offload its goods. The weekly docking of a Zim Lines cargo ship at the Oakland port was the focus (Zim Integrated Shipping Services is the Israeli international maritime shipping line). A community picket line at its berth was called for 5 AM Saturday, to meet the longshoremen arriving for the day shift to offload its cargo.
One Year Jail Term for Drone Protest at Hancock AFB, New York State

July 10, 2014: Syracuse, NY. Anti-drone protester Mary Anne Grady was sent to county jail for a maximum 12 month sentence for violating a temporary "Order of Protection" granted by a County Judge to explicitly to protect the Commander Evans of Hancock Air Force Base, who said he wanted to keep protesters "out of his driveway."

Global Protests Say Shut Down Guantanamo - End Indefinite Detention

ALERT: Ominous action taken in the U.S. is a Senate vote this week to authorize Obama to move all the 154 prisoners to prisons in the U.S.
This would allow Obama the claim that he has “closed” Guantanamo, while creating a terrible precedent of holding prisoners indefinitely and without charge, and possibly trying those few they have charged in sham military commission trials, within the U.S. Some of the prisoners' attorneys say that disappearing them into the hellhole of mass incarceration here would make it even harder to get them freed, even though many have already been cleared for release.
