Obama SURGING troops to Afghanistan? We need a SURGE of RESISTANCE!

By Debra Sweet

Oct. 5th & 6th – Many of you are joining in to protest the 8th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan. Everyone has an opportunity to be part of the resistance by donating to enable the resistance to continue and grow.

Within the next weeks, President Obama will announce up to 20,000 more troops will deploy to Afghanistan in addition to replacing up to 14,000 support troops with "trigger-pullers." This will only mean increasing the death and destruction brought to the Afghan people. And U.S. involvement in Iraq is not only not over, but is becoming a permanent occupation. We are beginning to see more people openly object to the US occupation of Afghanistan. And your help and money is needed!

Come to World Can’t Wait’s “virtual fundraiser” on Oct. 5th and 6th on the World Can't Wait Fan Page & worldcantwait.net and donate on those days. Our goal is to raise $5,000 in 48 hours to sustain the movement. We have plans for visible resistance all through this fall including bringing the *We Are Not Your Soldiers* tour to many more schools across the country. We know we will be able to meet this challenge with YOUR help!

Pledge to donate by RSVPing YES, donate on Oct 5-6, and write on our wall why YOU want a surge of resistance this fall!

Help us build for this fundraiser: Invite your friends--challenge them to match your donation, update your facebook status and send out tweets
